Calf and Lamb Day

On Friday morining the students of Tomarata School arrived with their Calves,Lambs,Sculptures and Gardens. Excited and cheerful children were playing and getting ready for their calves and lambs to compete. Rooms 4, 5 and 6 were setting up their stalls so they could raise money for their camp. People were arriving and soon it was time for the judging of the calves and lambs. Once that was done people looked around the stalls and through the classes. The day was slowly ending. People were leaving and stalls were packing up.That was a day to remember

The Magnficent showday

On Friday 15th October,Tomarata School had a magnificent Showday. There were calves and lambs. They were so cute and funny. On the magnificent showday rooms 5,6&4 were doing stalls to raise money for their camps so that the camp could cost a little bit less. In the class rooms you could have a loook at the kids saucers, vegetable creations and mini scenes. They were looking good. As everybody started to leave the school had to pack up.

Calves in Tomarata

On Friday the 15th October an epic show day took place at Tomarata School. Lambs and calves were prancing through the obstacles. People were selling candy, cakes, raffles and sausage sizzles for a fundraiser so Tomarata's senior classes could go to camp. Some calves were lazy and some calves were well trained. There were white, fluffy, gleaming patches on the field that looked liked sheep from heaven. Once the exhausting day was over a young calf escaped but eventually tired out.

The Special Show Day

On the morning of the 5th of October the older kids of Tomarata school started to set up their wonderful stalls. The crowds, calves and lambs marched into the school grounds. I even noticed some goats! The principal of Tomarata, Mrs Duffin, called everyone over to plant a special Kauri tree for Corey Ngakuru who passed away earlier in the year. Some of Corey's friends said some nice things about him and then a few of his close friends helped to plant the tree. The contestants with calves and lambs were getting ready to show off their skills. It was really nice to see the kids and their animals having fun. Congratulations to the kids who won ribbons. All in all, it was a fantastic day with smiles all round.

Show Day

On show day I saw some goats and calves and sheep. There were stalls and prizes to win and there was food to eat. It was fun! I was helping Jamie and Kristian on a stall and Jamie broke a jar of lollies. It was the coin toss and you can win a chocolate bar. Some people won after awhile. There were more stalls and I did some other things. I was watching the calves being led around the field but I got bored and went and did some other things. I tried to win $50 but I didn’t win it so I was not happy that I didn’t win. I got a free bar for helping and I gave it to Gordan he was happy and he ate it. I went home to watch TV.
