What Anzac Day is all about

Anzac Day is a day to celebrate the brave lives of people who fought in the wars against other countries. The people who fought for our country. The date also represents the anniversary of when the Anzacs arrived in Gallipoli. In Gallipoli 8,000 Australian soldiers were killed and 18,000 were wounded. There were 2,400 New Zealand soldiers killed and 5,100 were injured. So it was a great loss to Australia and New Zealand. Today lots of countries celebrate this very important day to thank those very brave and courageous soldiers.
