Super Speakers
Congratulations to the members of Room 6 who competed in the EWES Cluster Speech Finals today. An awesome job from all the students. In the Yr 7/8 category Kristian was victorious and Aimee 2nd - a very close decision by all accounts. This is great news for two students who have put a lot of time and effort into their speeches this term. Luke and Rebecca from Room 5 also placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the Yr 5/6 category - well done.

Well done to all of the children who had a go at the speeches and an extra special congrat's to the winners. Fairly obvious how the love of books and reading has benefited those children! : ) Great photo of you all with Mr M. Your school days will be the best days of your lives so embrace the fish philosophy, get that great education available to you and above all be honest to yourself & others, be happy and have a laugh!!!

Love Judy's comment. Bring back books I say! I can say with some confidence that at least two of the above mentioned children are avid readers. Good on all the children at Tomarata who wrote and presented their speeches - never an easy task! The Fish Philosopy is a short but good read and has a valuable message...

Good one guys, you did really well, I have also been hearing alot from leah about the book Mr M is reading you and it sounds bizzare!!! But i have ordered it from the wellsford Library to read thou lol, You guys are lucky u have such a cool teacher who will do things like that for you, You can pay me later Gareth,
